From September 1, 2025, Storesund Halsnøy Dokk AS has acquired Halsnøy Kontroll and established a dedicated Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) department, further strengthening its commitment to quality and inspection services for customers in Sunnhordland and beyond.
The new department will be led by Taisto Erkinharju, founder of Halsnøy Kontroll, who brings nearly three decades of expertise in NDT and welding inspection. Since 1997, Taisto has built a strong reputation serving the Sunnhordland industry, and now continues this work under the Halsnøy Dokk umbrella.
The inspection team will initially consist of Taisto Erkinharju, Paul Gjuvsland, and Kåre Andre Fredlund. Taisto will be responsible for operations and will serve as the main contact for all NDT-related inquiries.
“We look forward to continuing the solid work carried out by Halsnøy Kontroll, while further developing the service offering under the Halsnøy Dokk umbrella,” says Taisto Erkinharju.
